Here’s a quick poster for the RUHS Spring Concert happening next month (It really isn’t even close to Spring yet), and a first draft of the Christmas Tree Shops 2012 Sleigh. The drawing will eventually be a watercolor painting finished in a traditional style that the company will tile on wrapping paper, showcase on calenders, and sell as prints in stores. Yes, I’m pretty stoked! More progress will follow in the coming week.

Holy cow what a work dump this is.  3 paintings over the course of a week is quite a rush but that means freelance has seriously picked up after making the move to New York.  First is a banner for a jazz festival sponsored by baevents.com out of Boston and the last two are for the Christmas Tree Shop! Putting a big name like that under my belt is pretty rewarding and their art directors were a blast to work with.
